The extent to which they must wait during preparatory intervals also adversely affects their performance on reaction time trials (Zahn, Krusei, & Rapoport, 1991). I doubt that the trouble is in perception or detection of the warning stimulus as no body of evidence exists to show that ADHD is a sensory or perceptual problem.

These descriptions frequently note that children and adults with ADHD seem to live more in the moment, are less organized, planful, and goal- or future-oriented.
