69 .. Zum Umgang mit Utopien Mehr als andere lebt der Schizoide mit Utopien. Schizoide suchen in Utopien das Absolute. Für deren Verwirklichung können sie sich kompromißlos einsetzen. Auch ein großes Scheitern kann sie befriedigen, unter Umständen mehr als ein "fauler" Komprorniß. Der Schizoide muß nicht Autor der Utopie sein, für die er sich einsetzt; er interessiert sich mehr für den Wahrheitsgehalt einer Utopie als dafür, wer sie sich ausgedacht hat. Generell neigt er·dazu, die Realisierbarkeit von Utopien zu überschätzen.
Der Depressive hilft anderen gern, um ihre Liebe und Dankbarkeit zu gewinnen oder zu erhalten; im Unterschied zum Zwanghaften, der anderen hilft, um Macht über sie ausüben zu können. Da er seine Arbeit an der Anstrengung mißt, die sie ihm bereitet, und nicht an ihren Ergebnissen, überschätzt er oft, was bei seiner Arbeit herauskommt, und erwartet auch deshalb mehr Dankbarkeit, als er realistischerweise erwarten könnte. Seine unterdrückte orale Gier äußert sich oft in verstellter Weise. Da der Depressive hofft, daß der andere ihn braucht und ihn lieben wird, wenn er für ihn arbeitet, übernimmt er oft mehr Arbeit, als er bewältigen kann.
Sie bleiben im Gespräch oft stumm, vor allem dann, wenn es sich um Gespräche unter mehreren handelt, so daß sie nicht unbedingt "dran" sind, zu sprechen. Wenn man ihnen ins Gespräch einhelfen will, können sie das oft nicht annehmen. Die Hilfe eines äußeren steuernden Objekts können sie schwer akzeptieren, weil das steuernde Objekt ihrer Kindheit zugleich ein überforderndes war. Wird eine phobische Struktur kontraphobisch verarbeitet, gibt sich der Betreffende unabhängig und stark. Er ähnelt in seinem Verhalten dann manchmal einem phallisch strukturierten Mann.
