I use the term mass media education for the broader field of media-related education and the term journalism education for print and broadcast journalism after other media-related subfields emerged.

However, Lee died Oct. 12, 1870, and the following year only five scholarship students were registered. The scholarship program was abandoned in late 1878. Journalism wasn't revived at the college until 1926, when the Lee Memorial School of Journalism was established (O'Dell, 1935).
